yes the cats are real ;-) The photo of the crying relative is supposed to be a cheap reproduction of a crying "gypsy-boy"-painting. As far as I know, mostly found in kitschy northern European old-peoples-intereriors.
My god sir if you are the one that did that Short message of Ryoco cup of soup then you are a god amongst men! I just found this stockpile of pictures you have done and I wish I had a pile of money for I would have you animating everyday!

They're not doom characters, they're the moons of mars (the planet that doom is set on), Phobos and Deimos.
